MWFC - What we're all about

Mount Washington Freestyle Club (MWFC) provides a fun, safe and affordable ski team environment for competent skiers ages six years and up, with instruction by qualified , knowledgeable coaches. Certified training in all freestyle disciplines - including mogul skiing, rails, big air, terrain park, and steep and deep - will give both competitive and non-competitive skiers a well rounded set of skills.

Mount Washington Freestyle Club is a non-profit society incorporated under the Societies Act of British Columbia on July 25, 2001, which operates under the umbrella of the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association. It is a member of the BC Freestyle Ski Association, and is the only club of its kind on Vancouver Island. As the most visible and easily  accessible  of all the skiing disciplines, the MWFC continues to grow each season. MWFC provides each skier with the necessary skills to achieve their goals and dreams through physical, technical, teamwork, and community responsibility. Members are challenged positively, developing  a lifelong skill and interest in skiing. MWFC enables all levels of skiers to progress at their own pace, experience various levels of competition, and to go out and rip it up all over the mountain!

The Club has a dedicated Freestyle site at Mount Washington Alpine Resort with both a Mogul course and a Big Air site. This allows both the beginner and competitive athlete the opportunity to train to their full potential.

Our Coaching team is one of the best in the Province providing high calibre training, including invert training.

We have several intra-club events each ski season with an emphasis on FUN.

Our Club Sponsors are listed on the Sponsorship page, they support us and we hope you will support them.

Thanks to the generous support of our Sponsors MWFC is able to offer a variety of affordable programs that ensure maximum participation from the developing athletes of Vancouver Island.
